31. Battle of Stalingrad, A.D.1942-43.

Twenty one German divisions tried to caputure Stalingrad (Now Volgograd), But siege was broken and Friedrich von Paulus had to surrender with more than 100,000 German troops. This was the beginning of the end of German invasion of Russia.

32. Battle of Normandy, A.D.1944

Allied forces under General Eisenhower invaded German-held northern France is biggest ever seaborne attack. After a month of heavy fighting Normandy was cleared and Germans began to retreat.

33. Battle of Dien Bein Phu, A.D.1954.

French surrendered to Vietnam after 8 week siege. The biggest victory of the communists in Vietnam led by Dr.Ho Chi Minh. It marked the end of French influence in Indo-China and led to the rise of independent states of North Vietnam, South Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
