APPRENTICES ACT TRAINING SELECTION NOTICE NO. IGCAR – T.A.1/2014

  1. Applications are invited for engagement of Trade Apprentices under Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1991 in Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam in Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu. This selection is only for Apprenticeship training on stipendiary basis.
  2. The application in the prescribed format superscribed as “STIPENDIARY APPRENTICE” should be submitted preferably type written on a foolscap paper with the following details along with a recent passport size photograph and attested copies of certificates & testimonials to reach:

on or before 17.03.2014. Applications received after 17.00 hrs. on 17.03.2014 will not be considered.

  1. Candidates should submit only one Application Form and not more than one irrespective of number of Trades applied for.

 Educational Qualification

i.      Fitter

Passed 1011    std. examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent.

Two years ITI certificate in the Relevant Trade.

ii.       Machinist

Passed 10th        std. examination   under 10+2 system          of education         or  its equivalent.

Two years ITI certificate in the Relevant Trade.

iii. Turner

Passed   10t_l std. examination under  10+2 system    of education   or its equivalent.

Two years ITI certificate in the Relevant Trade

iv. Welder [Gas & Electric]

 Passed 10tn        std. examination   under 10+2 system          of education         or its equivalent.

One year ITI certificate in the Relevant Trade

v. Electrician

Passed 10th    std. examination under    10+2 system    of          education         or its equivalent.

Two years ITI certificate in the Relevant Trade

vi. Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic

Passed 10th    std. examination under    10+2 system    of          education         or its equivalent.

Two years ITI certificate in the Relevant Trade

vii. Electronic Mechanic

Passed 10:h    std. examination under    10+2 system    of          education         or its equivalent.

Two years ITI certificate in the Relevant Trade

viii. Instrument Mechanic

Passed 101h     std. examination under    10+2 system    of          education         or its equivalent.

Two years ITI certificate in the Relevant Trade

ix. Carpenter

Passed 10th  std.  examination   under 10+2 system of          education or its equivalent.

One year ITI certificate in the Relevant Trade

x.       Programming and System Administration Assistant

National     Trade  Certificate     issued by National          Council for vocational Training in “Computer Operator and Programming Assistant”

xi.      Gardener

Passed 10th  std.  examination   under 10+2 system of          education or its equivalent.

xii.     Horticulture Assistant

Passed 101h  std.  examination   under 10+2 system of          education or its equivalent.

7a. Age as on 01.01.2014 upto 22 years (relaxable by 5 years in the case of SC/ST Candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates)

7b. Standard of Physical Fitness

  1. The candidates should be free from evidence of any contagious or infectious disease. He should not be suffering from any disease, which is likely to be aggravated by service or is likely to render him unfit for service or endanger health of the public. He should be free from evidence of Tuberculosis in any form [active or healed]
  2. The candidates should have the following:

a) Height       :    137cms

45 Kgs

Expansion should not be less than 3.8 cms (irrespective of size of chest)

There should be no evidence of any morbid condition of either eye of the lids of either eye which may be liable to risk or aggravation or recurrence

8. A certificate from the registered Medical Practitioner should be attached in support of the above.

9. Period of Training: As provided in Schedule-I to Apprentice Rules, 1991.

10. Amount of Stipend: As notified from time to time by Directorate General of Employment and Training (DGET), Ministry of Labour and Employment, New Delhi.

11. Selection Procedure: The applicants found suitable will be called for interview. The date and venue of the interview will be informed through call letter.

12. The application should be accompanied by attested copies [not originals] of relevant certificate in support of.

a. Date of Birth
b. Educational qualification
c. Technical qualification
d. Other qualifications / experience, if any
e. Community certificates of those belonging to SC/ST/OBC and
f. Employment Exchange Registered card

 

13. General Instruction: The application forms should be accompanied by two recent conduct certificates from TWO Gazetted Officers [originals to be sent]. Applications to which only one conduct certificate is attached will be rejected.

Candidates called for interview will have to bear their own expenses.

Candidates selected for training will not be allowed to withdraw from training except for reasons, which are beyond their control. Before commencement of the training, the candidates will have to execute a triplicate contract of Apprenticeship. Those who willfully absent themselves are liable to refund the whole cost of their training as well as the amount paid as stipend as determined by the Central Apprenticeship Adviser.

The engagement and training are strictly in compliance with the provisions of the Apprentices Act 1961 and there is no guarantee for employment of the Apprentices on completion of their training.

Every Apprentice who has completed the period of training will, on passing a test to be conducted by the National Council for Training in Vocational Trade to determine his proficiency in the designated trade in which he has served as an Apprentice would be given a certificate of proficiency in the trade by the National Council.

 

Application with incomplete particulars or without attested copies of certificates required to be attached or otherwise not in accordance with other instructions will be rejected.
