Arunachal Pradesh Police Constable Eligibility Details are as follows.

Eligibility Conditions:

Age Limit: The Candidate’s age limit should be between 17 to 21 years. Age relaxation of upper age limit for APST & SC/ST candidates is maximum of 5 years.

Educational Qualification: Minimum educational qualification required for APST candidates & APST Ex-Servicemen is Class VIII passed & for general candidates is Class-X passed from recognized government institution.

Eligibility Conditions for Ex-Servicemen:

i. Previous Service: Ex-servicemen (APST candidates only) who have completed their service tenure in Army/Assam Rifies/ITBP/BSF/CRPF with satisfactory record of service and those who have retired voluntarily from service with full benefits will be only eligible.

ii. Age: Age concession for Ex-serviceman will be allowed in accordance with the orders issued by the Govt. from time to time and they will be allowed to deduct military service from their actual age and such resultant age should not exceed the prescribed age limit by more than 3 years.

iii. Others: The other conditions and criteria viz., physical measurement, education qualification, written test and viva-voce etc., shall be same as in the case of APST fresh candidates.

Exam Pattern: Arunachal Pradesh Police Constable Exam Pattern details are as follows.

Exam Pattern: Arunachal Pradesh Police Constable Exam Pattern will consists of Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Written test and Interview.

Physical Efficiency Test: The candidate who meets minimum physical standards as mentioned in notification will be called for physical efficiency test. Physical efficiency test will consists of following events.

Note: The physical efficiency test will be of qualifying in nature.

Written Examination: The eligible candidates of physical efficiency test will be put through written test in the following subjects. The place of written examination will be announced by the Chairman of Recruitment Centre’s.

Note:
1. The written examination will be of objective type on OMR format.
2. The minimum pass marks in written examination will be 33% in each subject and 45% in aggregate.

Selection Procedure: Arunachal Pradesh Police Constable Selection process will consists of Physical Measurement, Physical Efficiency Test, Written Examination and Interview.

Physical Measurement: The candidate who wants to appear for the Police Constable selection process should meet the minimum physical standards as mentioned in notification. Physical standard shall be carried out at police training centre.

Physical Efficiency Test: The short listed candidates whose application/ documents are found in order in all respect and who are found fit in physical measurement will be put through physical efficiency test in the events of 1500 mtrs Race, High Jump, Long Jump, 100 mtrs. Race and Chin Ups. The physical efficiency test will be of qualifying in nature. How ever, candidates who do not qualify the minimum qualifying standard in any of the events shall be treated disqualified for the next level/stage.

Written Examination: The eligible candidates of physical efficiency test will be put through written test in one paper which will have three sections covering General English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics of 100 marks each. The written examinatin will be of objective type on OMR format and the minimum pass marks in written examination will be 33% in each subject and 45% in aggregate.

Interview: The candidates scoring more marks in written test in descending order of merit at the maximum ration of 1:3 will be called for interview/ viva-voce. The maximum marks for interview will be 40.

Merit List: The final merit list of the selected candidates will be made on the basis of overall marks secured in written test and interview put together.

Medical Examination/ Character & Antecedent Verification: Appointment of provisionally selected candidates shall be subject to successful medical examination conducted by medical board.
