Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Constable (Tradesman) Eligibility Criteria

CISF recruit personnel in Constable Cadre for the post of Tradesmen in different trades. The eligibility criteria are given below…

1. Nationality: Candidates must be a Indian male citizen

2. Age Limit: Candidates’ age must be between 18 to years. Age relaxations will be extended for following  rules.

4. Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent qualification from recognized Board and University for Skilled Trades. ITI trained personnel will be preferred. For Ex Servicemen qualification must be Matriculation or 10th class.

5. Physical Measurement:

3 For persons hailing from Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh regions of J&K subject to production of either domicile certificate or certificate as per Appendix-“I” 165 Cms Minimum 78 CM with minimum expansion of  05 CM
4 For persons hailing from the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, subject to production of either domicile certificate or certificate as per Appendix – “I”. 162.5 Cms Minimum 77 CM with minimum expansion of  05 CM
5 All candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes except those in (6) below subject to production of certificate as per Appendix – “D” 162.5 Cms Minimum 76 CM with minimum expansion of      05 CM
6 The minimum height for all candidates belonging to schedule tribes hailing from the Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya and left wing extremism affected states/districts (as per  Appendix-“K”) subject to production of certificate as per  Appendix-“D” and “I”. This relaxed standard in height is not applicable to Assam State. 160 Cms Minimum 76 CM with minimum expansion of  05 CM

Note: Ex-Servicemen candidates are eligible for total relaxation in physical standards.

6. Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

7. Eye Sight: Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of 2 eyes without correction.

8. Domicile Certificate: Candidates domiciled in J&K and those who are victims of 1984 riots must produce domicile certificate whenever asked for.

CISF Selection Procedure Details: Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Constable (Tradesmen) Selection Process is based on Eligibility Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Trade Test and Medical Examination.

Selection Procedure:

1. Eligibility Test: Candidates must produce the relevant documents and certificates which confirm the eligibility criteria possessed by the candidates, to be qualified for second level of selection procedure.

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): The candidates whose documents have been verified and those who are proven to be eligible will have to appear for Physical Efficiency Test which includes a one mile race which needs to be completed in 6 minutes 30 seconds. EXSM are exempted from PET.

3. Trade Test: Candidates who qualify in the Physical Efficiency Test will be put through the trade test as prescribed for each post.

4. Preparation of Merit List: After Trade Test candidates will be arranged in merit list category wise and post wise on marks obtained in Trade Test.

5. Medical Examination: Candidates must go through thorough Medical Examination as the last stage of Selection Procedure. Those candidates who qualify all the stages of Selection Procedure will be put in order of Merit list and from that list the final selections will be made.
