Haryana Constable Eligibility Criteria
Haryana Police Constable Exam Eligibility details are as follows.
Eligibility Conditions:
I. Nationality domicile and character of the candidates: Candidates should be
1. (i) a citizen of India,(or)
(ii) a subject Nepal, (or)
(iii) a subject of Bhutan, (or)
(iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, (or)
(v) a person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or any of the East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia with the intention of permanently settling in India:
Provided that a person belonging to any of the categories (ii), (iii), (iv) or (v) shall be a person in whose favour of certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government.
2. A person in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to an examination or interview conducted by the Selection Board, but the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government.
3. No person shall be appointed to the Post of Constable, unless he produces a certificate of character from the principal Academic officer of the University College, School or institution last attended if any, and similar certificate from two other responsible persons, not being his relatives who are well acquainted with him in his private life and are unconnected with his University, College, School or Institution.
II. Age Limit: Candidates lower Age limit is 18 years and upper age limit is 25 years. For the candidate belonging to the Schedule caste and Backward Class categories relaxation of upper age limit of 5 years shall be given as per Punjab Police Rules 12.15 (1).
III. Educational Qualification: The minimum educational qualification for a candidate to be eligible for selection as constable shall be 10+2 for all categories.
IV. Physical Standard:
A. For Male Constable:
(i) Height- Minimum 5’-7”
(ii) Chest: Un-expanded – Minimum 33”
Expanded – Minimum 34 ½ (Minimum expansion of one and half inch)
Note – Relaxation in Physical Standard to the extent of one inch in height and one inch in chest will be available to candidates belonging to Scheduled caste and backward Class categories as per PPR 12.15 (2).
B. For Female Constables:-
Height- Minimum 5’-2”
Note– Relaxation in Physical Standard to the extent of one inch in height will be available to candidates be available to candidates belonging to Scheduled caste and backward Class categories as per PPR 12.15 (2).
Exam Pattern: This Exam will consists of 3 stages.
1. Physical Measurement
2. Physical Efficiency Test
3. Interview
1. Physical Measurement: Candidates who are found eligible on screening of applications will be screened for height and chest measurements. The measurements should be as follows..
A. For Male Constables:-
(i) Height – Minimum 5-7
(ii) Chest: Un-expanded – Minimum 33
Expanded – Minimum 34 ½ (Minimum expansion of one and half inch)
B. For Female Constables:- Height – Minimum 5-2.
Candidates who are found eligible in physical measurement will allowed to participate in Physical Efficiency Test who possesses required measurements.
2. Physical Efficiency Test: Candidates found eligible on the basis of physical measurements shall undergo Physical Efficiency Test (PET) of total 20 marks. Candidates shall be tested for following capacities as per PPR 12.16 (14):

Note: The qualifying marks in the physical efficiency test shall be 15 and candidate securing a total of less than 15 marks in these tests shall be deemed to have failed the physical efficiency and will be eliminated from the further process of recruitment.

Note:- The qualifying marks in the physical efficiency test shall be 12 and candidate securing a total of less than 12 marks in these tests shall be deemed to have failed the physical efficiency and will be eliminated from further process of recruitment.
Interview: Candidates who secure qualifying marks in Physical Efficiency Test will be called for Interview
Selection Procedure: Selection shall be made on the basis of their performance in Physical Measurement, Physical Efficiency Test and Interview.
1. Physical Measurement: Candidates who are found eligible on screening of applications will be screened for height and chest measurements . Only those candidates will be allowed to participate in Physical Efficiency Test who possesses required measurements.
2. Physical Efficiency Test: Candidates found eligible on the basis of physical measurements shall undergo Physical Efficiency Test (PET) of total 20 marks. Physical efficiency test will consists of Race of 100/ 800 meters, Long Jump, Short Jump, High Jump events. The qualifying marks in the physical efficiency test shall be 15 for Male candidates and the qualifying marks in the physical efficiency test shall be 12 for Female candidates.
3. Interview: The candidates for the post of Male Constable securing qualifying marks (15) and for the post of Female Constable securing qualifying marks (12) respectively in Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be called for interview.
