JPSC Civil Services Eligibility Details

Jharkhand Public Service Commission’s (JPSC) Civil Services Combined Competitive Exam Eligibility details are as follows.

Eligibility Criteria:-

Age Limit: Candidates maximum age should be 35 years for Unreserved, 37 years for BC-II/ BC-I candidates, 40 years for SC & ST and 38 years for Female Unreserved/ BC-II & BC-I candidates.

Age Relaxation: Age relaxation for various departments are as follows.
i. Minimum 22 years for Jharkhand Administrative Service, Jharkhand Raajya Kara Sevaa & Jharkhand Probation Service.
ii. Minimum 20 years for Jharkhand State Police Service, Jharkhand Product Service.
iii. Minimum 21 years for Jharkhand Finance Service & Jharkhand Labor Service.
iv. Maximum 05 years extended (according to their Category) for who have completed three years of continuous Service by way of Jharkhand State Government.
v. Maximum 05 years (according to their Category) extended for Persons with disabilities.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must be a  Degree holder from recognized university/ equivalent qualification.

The candidates who qualified in Preliminary Examination, have to attend with full details of certificates to Main Examination.

Exam Pattern:

 1. Scheme of Examination: The Combined Competitive Examination will be held in three stages-

I. Preliminary Examination (Multiple Choice Objective Type)
II. Main Examination (Written & Interview)
III. Personality Test

1. Preliminary Examination:– Preliminary examination will consists of two papers.   Duration 2 hours for each paper, Paper-I (General Studies), Paper-II (General Studies) each paper carries 100 marks.

Note: Preliminary Competitive Exam will consists of Multiple Choice & Objective Type questions. The question paper will be in Devanagari and Roman script.

II. Main Examination:- The candidates who qualify in preliminary examination, can attend for Main Examination. In that three subjects are there, i.e General Hindi carries 100 marks, General Studies Question Paper -1 carries 200 marks and General Studies Question Paper -2 carries 200 marks. The scheme of main examination as follows-

Note: General Hindi marks will not be added to Written Test & Personality test but those who did not get 30% marks in General Hindi are not eligible for Written Examination.

III. Personality Test: Those who qualified in Main Examination will be called for Personality Test of 200 marks.

Selection Procedure: JPSC Exam Selection Procedure will consist of the following stages.
1. Preliminary Examination.
2. Main Examination (Written & Interview)
3. Personality Test

1. Preliminary Examination:- Preliminary examination will consists of two papers with Multiple Choice Objective Type Questions, Duration 2-2 hours for each paper, Paper-I (General Studies), Paper-II (General Studies) each paper carries 100 marks. Preliminary Competitive Exam will consists of Multiple Choice & Objective Type questions. The question paper will be in Devanagari and Roman script.

2. Main Examination:- The candidates who qualify in preliminary examination, can attend for Main Examination. Main examination will be conducted for 500 Marks. There are three subjects, i.e General Hindi carries 100 marks, General Studies Question Paper -1 carries 200 marks and General Studies Question Paper -2 carries 200 marks.

3. Personality Test: Those who qualified in Main Examination will be called for Personality Test. Personality test will be conducted for 200 marks

1. General Studies Paper-I:-
i. History of India and Indian National Movement.
ii. India and World Geography.
iii. Indian Polity and Economy.
iv. History, Geography, Economy and Culture of Jharkhand.

2. General Studies Paper-II:
i. General Science.
ii. General Mental Ability.
iii. Current Events of State, National and International Importance.
