MPSC Police Sub Inspector Eligibility Details

Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) Police Sub Inspector Exam Eligibility details are as follows.

Eligibility:

Nationality: Candidates must be an Indian Citizen.

Age Limit: Candidates minimum age limit should between 19 to 28 years. Age relaxation is applicable.

Educational Qualification:

  • Graduation or its equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
  • Knowledge of Marathi is essential.
  • Final year students are also eligible to apply for MPSC PSI exam subject to the fact their final result is announced before the form submission for main exam.

Physical Standards:
For Male Candidates:
Height: 165 CM (approximately)
Chest (Lower): 79 CM
Chest (Higher): 84 CM (Minimum Expansion of 5 CM)
For Female Candidates:
Height: 157 CM (approximately)

Exam Pattern:

1. Preliminary Examination: Preliminary exam consists 100 (objective type) questions it carries 100 marks, this exam conducted in both English and Marathi, duration 1 hour.

2. Main Examination: Main exam which is of objective questions, Paper I consists 100 questions it carries 100 marks, this exam conducted in both English and Marathi, duration 1 hour, Paper II consists 100 questions it carries 100 marks, duration 1 hour.

3. Physical Test: Qualified candidates in the Police Sub Inspector Main Examination have to attend for Physical Test which includes Pull-Ups 40 marks, Long Jump 30 marks, Shortput 30 marks, Running (800 Meters in 02:30 minutes) 100 marks, Total 200 marks.

Height for Male: 165 cms (minimum)

Height for Female: 157 cms (minimum)

Chest (Male):
Unexpanded: 79 cms
Expanded: 84 cms

For PH Candidates: Not Eligible for Persons with Disabilities

Selection Procedure: There are 4 stages are followed.
1. Preliminary Examination
2. Main Examination
3. Physical Test
4. Interview.

1. Preliminary Examination: Preliminary exam consists of 100 (objective type) questions, carries 100 marks, this exam conducted in both English and Marathi, duration 1 hour.

2. Main Examination: Main exam which is of objective questions, Paper I consists of 100 questions, carries 100 marks, this exam conducted in both English and Marathi, duration 1 hour, Paper II consists 100 questions it carries 100 marks, duration 1 hour.

3. Physical Test: After the result of Police Sub Inspector Main Examination there is a Physical Test which includes Pull-Ups 40 marks, Long Jump 30 marks, Shortput 30 marks, Running (800 Meters in 02:30 minutes) 100 marks, Total 200 marks.

4. Interview: 100 marks for interview, marks fixed for interview is 75 marks. (Those who qualified in Physical Test).
