ISRO launches navigation satellite IRNSS-1G

ISRO has successfully launched PSLV C33 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. The PSLV will carry the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System, IRNSS-1G, into the orbit. India’s 7th and final navigation satellite, IRNSS will give Indian an impetus to set up its own independent regional navigation system on par with the US-based Global Positioning System (GPS).
