Air India to give preferred seat for a fee

The government owned airline, Air India plans to roll out an option making it easier for passengers to get their preferred seats. From this month, the option of pre-selection of preferred seats would be made available to economy flyers for a charge by Air India. Almost all private airlines already have this option. Reportedly, the seat selection charge will be kept at Rs 500.
