India now has its own indigenous GPS system!

With ISRO successfully launching India’s on navigation satellite, the nation need not depend on other countries for military navigation. The IRNSS-1G provides better accuracy and targeted position. It can provide accurate real-time positioning over India extending to 150km, with technology similar to that of US. The total mission cost Rs 1420 crore and has a 12 year lifespan.
