India’s move to tackle abuse lauded by United Nations
UN officials have lauded the initiative taken by Indian and other nations to fight allegations of sexual abuse to end the exploitation by United Nations peacekeepers. Atul Khare, Under-Secretary-General for Field Support in the UN General Assembly stated that India, Benin, Ecuador and Uruguay consider it a top priority to provide abuse victims with support and assistance.
