Supreme Court told States can’t hold medical entrance tests

The Supreme Court on Monday ruled that all admissions to medical and dental courses would come under single national Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test (NEET). The apex court has rejected the states demand to conduct their own exams for MBBS and BDS. Also, Supreme Court said students who complained of not getting enough time for NEET-1 held on May 1, can give NEET-2 on July 24, by giving up their NEET-1 score.
