Tobacco firms may get two months to sell stock

Law Minister has suggested to Ministry of Health to give tobacco products manufacturers two months to clear pending stocks carrying 40% pictorial warnings. Health Minister had sought the opinion of Law Ministry on what to do with the pending stocks with manufactures after the new government notification, which mandates 85% pictorial warning on tobacco products, came into effect on April 1.
