Preparation Tips & Tricks to Crack TNPSC Group 2A Exam

TNPSC in short for T. N. Public Service Commission, is considered to be an important recruitment state based examination in the country. TNPSC Exam however, is limited to the residents of T. N. This exam is said to provide huge opportunities to aspiring unemployed candidates, who have been seeking a better position in the state’s government departments.

Crack TNPSC Group 2A Exam

With each passing year, more and more candidates have been enrolling themselves to take up the challenges of this exam. The written tests are conducted at specified centers as mentioned in the list that is brought out by the government from time to time and is held on specific dates.

Educational Qualification:
Any Bachelor degree from a recognized University/Board

Age Limit:
Minimum: 18 years
Maxium: 30 years

Exam Pattern:
Exam: Objective Type
Questions : 200
Total Marks: 300
Total Time : 3 Hrs

Section Wise Splitup:
General Studies – 75 Questions
Aptitude & Mental Ability – 25 Questions
General Tamil / General English – 100 Questions
Total – 200 Questions

Aptitude and Mental ability will be combined with General Studies itself. Hence, the GS paper will have 100 questions in total. Candidates are required to choose either General Tamil OR General English one option for the Exam at the time of applying for the exam itself.

Science – Physics, Chemistry, Botany &Zoology
Current Affairs of History, Polity, Geography, Economy & Science
Geography
History and Culture of India
Indian Polity
Indian Economy
Indian National Movement
Aptitude and Logical Reasoning

It is important to note that, Aptitude and Reasoning alone have 25 questions. So give much importance to aptitude and reasoning also

Reference Books:
1.State Board books are considered as primary source for all TNPSC Exams preparation. So you should study following Samacheerkalvi / State Board (11th, 12th Std) school text books compulsory for TNPSC Group 2 Prelims and Group 2A Exams.
i)Social Science Books – 6th to 10th Std
ii)Science Books – 6th to 10th Std, (Additional 11th,12th Botany and Zoology if you have time)
iii)Polity – 11th,12th Political Science
iv)Economy – 11th,12th Economics Books
v)Geography -11th,12th Geography Books
vi)Indian Culture – 12th Indian Culture Book

2. Arihant General Knowledge – a must have and most referred book for TNPSC Exams

Preparation Tips:
Last minute preparation:
Doesn’t trust that this will likely give success to you. It will never give but if you are going to make an attempt then you can go ahead with a clear preparation of at least one subject.

Exam knowledge:
The first and foremost thing is getting the knowledge of your exam events dates. First do the one time registration in early, then apply for the exam, download your hall ticket and be clear about your test venue.

Study plan:
According to the syllabus, pattern and your study material, segregate the subjects. Read the tough and easy subjects alternatively, to avoid sleeping while studying. Put a time table by yourself and study accordingly.

Study timing & place:
Early morning will be very apt for you to do preparing and choose a peaceful place as you wish.

Avoid stress & be motivated:
Do not be panic of the exam, if you follow all the tips you will relieve from the stress. Always things positively that will motivate you.
