About the Organisation:
Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is an Indian state-owned insurance group and investment company owned by Government of India . LIC headquartered is in Mumbai. It is the largest insurance company in India with 29 crore policy holders. The Life Insurance Corporation of India was founded in 1956 when the Parliament of India passed the Life Insurance of India Act that nationalised the private insurance industry in India. Over 245 insurance companies and provident societies were merged to create the state owned Life Insurance Corporation.

Candidates should possess Bachelors Degree from a recognised Indian University/ Institution.

Preliminary Exam
Mains Exam
Final Selection: Only the marks obtained in the Mains examination will be considered for the LIC Assistant Final Merit List.
Pre-Recruitment Medical Exam: All the candidates shortlisted for the final merit list will have to appear for the medical exams. The candidates who have found to be medically fit will be offered the appointment for LIC Assistant post.

Exam Pattern:
Preliminary Exam:
LIC Assistant is an online mode exam with 3 sections in the total. The total marks for all the three section is 100 and total time duration is 60 minutes. There will be sectional timing thus dividing the composite time of 60 minutes into 20 minutes for each section.

Mains Exam:
Main examination will consist of objective tests for 200 marks. The objective test will be online. The objective test will have separate timing for every section. The Pattern for Mains Exam of LIC Assistant is two types:

Prior to this year, Hindi language was not the part of exam. This time LIC has shocked the aspirants with the new change. Well students it is a great opportunity for those who were having difficulty in learning English language. With this change LIC has ease the level and at the same time, it will lead to more competition. Hindi is also added as a new subject in the LIC Assistant mains exam, where English is still in the mains exam list. Thus this time a total of 5 sections will be there in the LIC Assistant mains exam.

The candidates are required to qualify each of the Tests. Candidates will have to qualify in each of the objective tests.
There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests for main examination. ¼ marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase I) will not be added for the selection and the final selection will be based on the marks obtained by a candidate in Main Examination (Phase II).
